Mauricio Meyer Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Hi! This is my last finished model. Known by all, built by most. Revell 1/24 Shelby Cobra 427. Hope you like it!
TooOld Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Very , very nice ! One of the best builds of the Revell kit I've seen . Great detailing of the interior and engine .
impcon Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Nice build, to say the least!!! While the CObra is not my kind of car, I do admire your skills and the finished product is one that I;d be proud to have and display in my home. I like the attention to detail and the craftsmanship that shows some real talent. Good work and I look forward to seeing more of your builds. AAAA++++
Shelby 427 1965 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Best Cobra I've seen by far, love it!
cobraman Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Cobra, my kind of car. You did a very fine job on that kit, it looks perfect . I love it !
KevinMoparFord Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Awesome job! Looks really nice. What paint did you use, I really want to know the clear you used.
Ron35369 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Outstanding job on the Cobra! You hit all the right notes with this one.
vintagercr Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Very nice! You can never get enough pictures of Cobras.
Webb Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I have to agree with what everyone else has said. Excellent interior, engine, paint finish, decal application and on and on! Is that color Guardsman Blue?Chris
bbowser Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Add my kudos. Great, clean build. The panel line fit is perfect. Love the interior.
Mauricio Meyer Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Hi! Thank you for all your positive coments! To answer a couple of questions: The paint is Zero Paint's Guardsman blue, with a coat of tamiya transparent blue. The clear is tamiya TS-13 straight from the can. Then it was polished with tamiya's compounds and wax. I didn't intend to replicate any exact car or paint tone, i just painted it until i achived a color i like. Thanks again, i'm glad you like it, it's a very nice kit. Edited January 14, 2013 by Mauricio Meyer
