chadrob30 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Picked up the Rat Roaster today. Can't wait to get it started...
cobraman Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Pop that bad boy open and lets see whats inside !!
Sixx Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 MAN!!!!! Thanks for the photos...I need some of those!!!! I spot a bunch of cool stuff for other builds!!!!!!
chadrob30 Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 No problem. It's basically a rehash of all the other hi boy kits released in the last 20 years. However, the wheels, tires, interior, and blower assembly are worth the price of the kit to me, which incidentally was $20 at HobbyTown USA.

Bartster Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Cool ! Anybody wanna trade the rims & guitar from their kit, PM me.....PLEASE !!
Gluhead Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Ah, finally, some good tree pics! Thanks! I don't think we could really have expected a full new tool on this, as some had hoped for, but I will have no trouble at all overlooking a little rehash to get the new rolling stock and other new goodies.
alarmstrong Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 now im not well versed on what is or isnt a "rat rod" but all the ones I have seen before looked like a pile of junk parts mashed together. What makes this a rat rod? to me it looks like a 32 ford street rod with no hood
lanesteele240 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 thanks for the awesome spread of what is in the kit

chadrob30 Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 No problem fellas, glad I could show you what was in the box. They also had the rehashed Willy's Pro Street kit, but that will wait til next payday, lol.

Frank Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 A lot of nice parts in there, but the least Revell could have done was to put in a dropped BEAM axle as is in the real car instead of a dropped tube one.
Bartster Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Easy mistake. A lot of us thought the same thing upon 1st (mis)reading it, lol !
Bernard Kron Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Thanx! This is invaluable to assess the kit. I'll receive mine in the next couple of days amd this will give me a hedz up on what to expect. Great pictures!
CEKPETHO BCE Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 That looks beautiful. If only Revell would sell those firewalls by themselves.... I need like one or two... or 10 for all my other deuces.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 So, how are you going to build it? Any mods planned?
crazyrichard Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 whow that awsome , the body is exactly like the highboy roadster i have here (unbuild) but those wheels , seats and all the other little changed parts are soo nice !! cant waight to see this build

Look at the back end when you get one. The RR has been modified to fit tight around the gas tank, just like the 1:1 car. Subtle, but it is different. It's new tooling. Is it radically different? Nope. The roadster tooling was just plain wore out, and Revell chose to cut a new mold to do this kit and help preserve the future of the '32 series.
