It's got a touch of HQ Monaro about it but that design was heavily "supervised" by Detroit to follow the GM corporate look of the time.

It's certainly no Holden i've ever seen but that of course means nothing

I would have guessed early '70's GM anf quite possibly Buick in particular, but the Holden or Opel connection is posible too. kinda ha a '69 Riviera nose while the roofline resembles a mid '70's 4 door Electra/98.

Perhaps it is an overhead view of one of the versions of the 1966 AMX II concept car by American Motors?

Not possible, as that car never had an interior.

I would say it's GM in origin, too, as the rear quarter windows are very '68-'73 Eldorado like, as the "peaked" rear window is also from that era.

Purely speculation, but based on the wheel design I'd say it's definitely GM. Based on the position of the character line on the body side, its relationship to the wheel-arches, and the length of the panels behind the front wheel arch and in front of the rear wheel arch, I'd say it's based on the '67-'81 F-body (Firebird / Camaro body structure), though the door looks perhaps a little longer. The shape of the windshield glass looks like first-gen F-body, '67-'69.

The nose leading-edge shouts late '60s Buick, so my bet is a sporty-car Buick derived from the other GM ponies.

This car also appears to have a flip-forward nose (note the cut-line in the panel behind the front wheel arch).

But Casey's right about the peaked rear window and quarters being rather Cadillac Eldo. Hmmmm.

Not sure why it's so hard to provide a link, but I did the Googling and yes, it's a 1968 Ford Techna show car.

Google "Ford Techna"

So it is! Thanks for the answer, Mike. Did you already know the car or just figure it out somehow?

Skip, I couldn't look on the back too easily - it was screwed to the wall, haha.

I remembered the car from many years ago.

Mystery solved! Good eye.

Interesting how very similar the concept designs ... GM ... AMC ... Ford.

Seemed to me that after awhile, designers and engineers shifted around from company to company.

The C-pillar had the look of an 68-69 AMC Javelin or Ford Mustang both of which were right here on the shelf in front of me.

But the back glass looked very GM.

Those guys had spys everywhere!

The back window looked like about an early '70s pontiac grande prix, in fact, would have said grand prix all the way. Ford ? Wow.

OK, I didn't google anything (I swear), saw this thread too late, but I could have told instantly that it is a Ford.

That's Elwood Engel second from left standing next to Edsel Ford.
