Ramfins59 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Hey all. Remember the Link to that Miniature Wonderland..?? They expanded it and even have new plans to make it even more amazing. Check it out...!!! http://devour.com/video/miniatur-wunderland/
Harry P. Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 That has to be the most amazing scale... um... thing ever! (Can't just call it a train layout, it's so much more!)
2000-cvpi Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I watched the video, they have everything that could be happening in a city.
phil-east Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 amazing ! for the first time in my life i'm considering a trip to Germany !
martinfan5 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I would love to see that in person, I dont think you could take it all in at one time
Harry P. Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I wonder how often things break down and need fixing? There are hundreds and hundreds of things going on... you'd think that there would be constant breakdowns and mechanical failures all over the layout. It must keep the staff pretty busy!
Dave Van Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I'd love to go someday.........but FYI that update is from NOV 2011..........so it may be more done by now!!!!

Davewilly Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Thats a cool place...Ive been seeing it for a few years now (being a former model railroader) I would love to see that place some day. When I was doing mine building all the buildings and making the scenery was my favorite part...
Exotics_Builder Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) I'd love to go someday.........but FYI that update is from NOV 2011..........so it may be more done by now!!!! It is more than done. They had a 12 minute overview on How Do They Do It show where they show the operation of the airport and a little bit of the elctronics and how they recharge the vehicles through a process where they are sent by computer to a charging station. There are several YouTube videos on this place. IT IS FANTASTIC!! Edited March 14, 2013 by Exotics_Builder
Dave Van Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I have that on DVD......cool to see a firetruck battery run low....get itself to the firehouse and park itself on the charger that connects via wipers on the chassis!!! UNREAL!
Exotics_Builder Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I have that on DVD......cool to see a firetruck battery run low....get itself to the firehouse and park itself on the charger that connects via wipers on the chassis!!! UNREAL! I have yet to transfer mine from the DVR to the DVD.
Clemi Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I love the miniature wonderland. I visited it in last november and its so amazing! You can watch one unit for hours but you find some nice details every some seconds. It is full of nice, funny details! The airport is very impressive, all the lights and flying airplanes and moving vehicles. But they want to build some new units or countries, so I must visit this year again
afx Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) Here is an in depth look at this amazing exhibit. Edited March 23, 2016 by afx
