bpletcher55 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 This is a 41 chevy I did back in 2009 ,hope you guys like it.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Nice model, you can never go wrong with this kit.
TooOld Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Very sharp ! How about a couple more photos ? I too would like to know what the color is .
bpletcher55 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 I,M sorry I should have posted this under trucks, the color is testers flaming orange, one coat lacquer, I do not remember what kit those wheels came from,
bpletcher55 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 The truck is sitting on a revell 37 ford sedan frame it fits with a little work and lowers the truck, also use,d the small block chevy out of the 37 ford.
Modlbldr Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Great work on the 41 and I love the color. I'll have to keep in mind the idea to use the 37 sedan frame when I build mine. What sort if mods did you have to do to get the frame to work? I too would love to see more photos of your pickup. Later-
bpletcher55 Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 TOM ,the 37 frame is just a bit to long ,and if I remember it has tabs on the side that may need to be removed.I also think I z,ed the front of the frame to get the front down more.
rmvw guy Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Nice job, I also love that color. I used it on a Jeep and I think mine came out a little darker with gray primer under the paint. Just wondering what primer you used if any? I love the over all look too, and the stance.
bpletcher55 Posted March 14, 2013 Author Posted March 14, 2013 RON ,I used a light gray primer,It is dupli -color,hope that helps, thanks for the feed back,
