David Thibodeau Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 This project was a quick and fun little project. I took the Uptown Charger and Pro toured it sort of speak. The wheels and tires are the rears out of the AMT Camaro Concept kits. Brakes are turned on my lathe with kit calipers added. I glued the doors, (No need for scissor doors) Rear trunk (No need to display cheesy subs and amps) and the hood! (No need to display a diecast like engine bay lacking total detail. I slammed it to the ground and added a splitter up front to make it appear even lower. I also left the front grill out and added mesh behind it to give it a sunk in muscular look. Paint is HOK Orion Silver with flat black Roof, hood, rear spoiler and trunk panels. Omni Clear for gloss topped off with Mike Scale speedshop decals. Fun build that to me makes a statement.. Like something Dominic Torretto would drive. :)
David Thibodeau Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 Thanks! It was a fun little build.
Sixx Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 That's a cool Charger David!!! Of course, I've been diggin all your builds for awhile now!!
jeffs396 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 She's a flawless beauty Dave! We could stand to see more of your inspiring builds here under glass you know
Custom Mike Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 The best version of this kit I've seen, great work on a real dog!
exesivefire Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Looks really good, I love this one. Black on silver always gets me.
MikeyB08 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Wow! Maybe I should pick me up another one of these kits... No, nevermind. Regardless, your's turned out GREAT!!! The kit itself lacks a lot of detail and as you mentioned, very cheesy. Nevertheless, what you was able to do with such a "Low-Grade Kit" makes it that much better. Great job!!
Nxr Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) They need to release a 2012-13 charger rt or srt kit that is all stock special edition which lets you build rt or srt, with respected wheel styles. Would be much cooler than those odd revell kits that were made in past 10 years , cool build though does this kit allow you to build it pure stock? Edited March 30, 2013 by Nxr
