Dyno Davo Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Completion #4: Difficult kit to build but I'm happy with how it came out. Added machined engine pulleys, machined distributors with vac advances, new machined air filters, wired with clear plug leads, full angel hair interior with machined knobs on the TV and radio, real chrome steel coils springs, painted in three different yellows to get the final finish. Tinted the bubble top.
High octane Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Sweet build Dave, we have a member in one of the clubs I belong to who likes to build the Roth cars as well.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 best i've seen this kit done, beautiful paint! A beautiful piece.
Casey Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Completion #4: Difficult kit to build That's an understatement, but it looks like you were up to the challenge and ended up with a really nice model.
planearranger Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 You've got a beauty there! Amazing and super clean, especially as it's a very tough build. Wish I still had mine!
John Teresi Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Dave.....man, that is clean........color pops.......love it!!!!!!
mr moto Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Great work!! I built one some years back but nowhere near as good as that. How did you do the angel hair interior? All the KOOL Kustoms had to have it back in the day!

All the KOOL Kustoms had to have it back in the day! Hi Manuel, yep angel hair the stuff of legendary Kustoms. It's actually just faux sliver fur you can buy at your local fabric store, I covered the interior tub in double sided tape and then laid in the fur (it's stretchy fabric backed). Then I trimmed it with a pair of small scissors (like giving it a hair cut) just to get it more to scale. Hope that helps
cruz Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 You do excellent work my friend but you need to share more pictures of your beautiful work!!!

We used to call it 'Yak fur' !
W-Machine Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Wow! That looks great! And that interior is something else.
