realgone58 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Incredible Tulio!!! If this wasn't on a model forum,I'd swear this was a magazine photo shoot of a real car.
hemi Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Awesome build and it even has the correct colors on the chassis, suspension and paint ID marks too! What he said. If it had plug wires and hoses I would have sworn it was a real car.
vintagercr Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Beautiful build. It looks like the real thing.
jparsons1969 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Nice...looks like the real deal sitting there.

Maindrian Pace Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Túlio, Whenever I open one of your threads, I expect to see a beautifully built Ford, and you always deliver. And this Fairlane shows that you are getting better with each one too. -MJS
Sixties Sam Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Super clean and just about perfect! Great work. I like those old Fairlanes. Sam
Lunajammer Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Tulio, your builds continue to blow me away. Awesome model. X2. And you do it with such ease.
Albie D Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Clean, clean, clean. All your builds are pristine, this is another one!
dino246gt Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Some of your fine details are mind blowing, like the side emblems and the grille wash, AND your photos! The car does look real! Really nicely done!
Dyno Davo Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Superb build, so real is amazing, well done mate.
oldnslow Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Looks Great Tulio, I love looking at models and at first glance thinking it's real.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Well guys, I can only thank you again for the wolcome you gave to the little Fairlane. If it looks real I can only "blame" the AMT kit, that has lot's of detail features, like the nice decals for the badges, and a separate chrome part for the 427 emblem on the front fenders.
Automatic 250 Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) I would appear to have been schooled. Love that AMT kit. Edited April 12, 2013 by Automatic 250
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 I felt like showing this to you guys: My very first build of this kit, back in 1993. It was my first multi color paint job. I remember having a lot of trouble trying to make the frame to fit the body. After much work, and also after having glue all over the frame, I fugured out that it was the windshield that was keeping the interior to go all the way up, and I ended sanding the already glued windshield to make room for the dash. This is a problem I'm glad I remembered when building the kit again this year, so I just removed material from the windshield before gluying it to the body, and all that problem didn't hapen again this time. I built this kit for my cousing back in the day, and he decided to give me it back a few days ago, after he saw the new build on Flickr. It was dirty, and had a taillight missing. I gave it a good clean, and made a temporary replacement taillight with epoxi putty. I'm now looking for a genuine AMT taillight, and will keep my eyes open. Anyway, here is the car: 1966 Fairlane 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1966 Fairlane 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1966 Fairlane 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1966 Fairlane 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
