Gothic Kustomz Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) This is my first ever Pro Touring build, so, it will be a kustom, note to self: next time use the Baldwin '70 chevelle L88 hood scoop, not the Corvette, Vette slopes front to back, Chevy slopes side to side, DOH! Gothic Kustomz Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Looks like the NASCAR, suspension will fit, now for some minor modifications:
Gothic Kustomz Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Phase 1 complete, for working suspension, on to phase 2:
Gothic Kustomz Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Moving right along, scratch built sway bar, not perfect, but still kewl, still need to do the locking nut:
Gothic Kustomz Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 Whew, ok Nascar front chassis, now added, gives me just a Lil lower ride hight, and I can use the roll cage and supporst, along with the front suspension, all from the Nascar, by the time this is done, you wont be able to tell where the stock '66 ends, and the Nascar begins:
Modlbldr Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I'll have to see how this NASCAR front clip is going to work to lower the front suspension. So take lots of clear understandable photos and I will try to find a NASCAR kit to use on a few of my kits, like my 65 Impala. Later-
Darren B Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Moving right along, scratch built sway bar, not perfect, but still kewl, still need to do the locking nut: WOW, not my cup of tea i would have lowrided this one but man your scratch building skills are stellar, i love that scratch built sway bar, will be watching this one close..........

72 Charger Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 looking good is that a corvette hood inserted in there?
Gothic Kustomz Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 looking good is that a corvette hood inserted in there? Yes sir, an L88 scoop, tho there would if been less work had I used a Baldwin '70 chevelle scoop, as it slopes side to side, as where the vette slopes front to back, but I couldn't wait...
Gothic Kustomz Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 OK, this might confuse some of you, I changed the thread to Twisted Intentions Pro Touring Series, for a reason, there will be 4 cars to this, yea the cars are not common to being done into Pro Touring, an well, I'm just getting itchy fingers dieing to get started on the other 3 as well, BUT! yes they all will get finished, I just thought I would put them all into one thread, and see how it goes, as they all are Pro Touring, or, well, will be, so with out further ado, here are the next 3 on the block: 1965 Pontiac Bonneville: 1966 Buick Wildcat: 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 XL:
Modlbldr Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I'm interested to see what you will do with the 65 Bonneville. Later-
Gothic Kustomz Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 Did I hear someone say, " ok scratch built working rear suspension, lets see what ya do with the front", wellllllll, hehehehehehehe, here is the first 1 of 2 coil over shocks, that will be going in the front, OH, and my cat helped too, he placed the hair, still have some clean up to do on it, just a mock up, an oh yea it functions.
