crazyjim Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Old Dodge's need to ride high and that's what I did to this puppy. It's painted in Dupicolor dark toreador red with a coat of Tamiya TS65 pearl before the 2 part urethane clear coat. There's a set of Ma's Resin cheater slicks out back and a FHP distributor up front. The windshield came cracked in the sealed box. Not much I can do about it. Exhaust is aluminum rod into aluminum tubing "turbo" mufflers and out more aluminum tubing. Those are scratch built muffler clamps (we had a tutorial at a FAST meeting).
crazyjim Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Thank you, Lee. Wheels are from the parts bin and I don't know where they came from. I have 2 more though.
bbowser Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Nice. Love the engine detail and the exhaust system. Great looking build Jim!
realgone58 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 A shiny Mopar from the SHINY king! Looks good. Exhaust came out really nice.
slusher Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Nice build Jim, great engine detail. love the exhauast system. Very nice work.
fatkidd Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 looks good, Jim. I need to try making those exhaust clamps, they look sweet
crazyjim Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) Wow - thanks everyone. Gotta drive the Dodge around town to get rid of some gas and then fill it up with some Sunoco 360 for the Friday night races. Thanks again. Fatkidd - instead of using a cone shaped grinding bit in a Dremel as told in the tutorial, I use a punch set for all the holes. It works much for me. Edited April 25, 2013 by crazyjim
