GoatGuy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Here are a few I've done for clients over the years. thanks for looking.
pharoah Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Very very nice artwork! What mediums are you using?
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Very nice. Is this something like Akvis or Picasa software, or is it freehand?
rmvw guy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Nice! More information about how you did it please!
GoatGuy Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 (edited) These were done freehand, colored with acrylic airbrush paint, colored pencil, and graphite pencils. The two black and white drawings are just graphite. I also did Rusty Wallace and Jimmy Spencer but can't find the digital files for them. I got Jimmy Spencer's autograph on one of the prints. Thank you for your kind comments. Edited April 28, 2013 by GoatGuy

DrKerry Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Awesome work, Been and still am an Earnhardt fan!!!! He is missed but not forgotten...
mikelo Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Great stuff. Love the feel of real hand drawn artwork. Mike
Harry P. Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Dave, do you use an Artograph? Or maybe the "grid method?" Your likenesses are just about perfect.
PappyD340 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Fantastic art work Dave, don't ever put the pencil down, I went to high school with a guy that had serious talent like you and the last time I talked to him at our last reunion he said he doesn't even doodle anymore, so don't throw your talent away keep on drawing!
Connor01 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Yeah dont stop drawing ma art teacher said that car/motorcycle art was worthless and told me to give up but by looking here it is some best art i've ever seen
DR Dubois Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Beautiful work!! There's nothing more appealing than art done in the traditional mediums.
GoatGuy Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) Harry- yes I use an Artograph to get the basic lines down and the rest is done freehand. Sixx and sjordan2 - thanks. I really enjoy doing artwork. PappyD - I will never stop. Right now it is a side business. I've illustrated 3 coaches manuals for the Special Olympics, 3 illustrations for the Intl Association of Approved Basketball Officials ( they oversee the refs of the NCAA), many portraits and a couple of murals. Anyone interested in some art can send me a pm and we'll talk. Connor01- auto and motorcycle art has never been worthless. Thank you for your encouragement. DR Dubois- thank you for the kind comment. This whole forum is full of art, mostly the 3D type. I do have some prints available if interested. Edited May 29, 2013 by GoatGuy
