Phizz Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 This is my first attempt to recreate a model from an actual car, so it wont be 100% exact, but I really dig the 1:1 that I wanted it atleast in my scale collection. The interior on the 1:1 is not stock, and I've never really used putty on a serious level, so no drastic changes there. I guess I'm going more for the stance and paint overall.
cobraman Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Thats a fine looking 60. I will be watching, good luck !
gwolf Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Man, that is a gorgeous car. Good luck on your build, I'll be checking your updates.
Geno Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Can't wait to see this one. I love the 60 Ford body style.
Christopher J Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Looks like an awesome project, looking forward to seeing how it progresses
Shardik Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Nice choice of subject matter. I'm looking forward to watching this take shape.
Phizz Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Waiting on wheels, and going to try my hand at ignition wires and BMF for the first time, once it all gets here in the mail.
bryan_m Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 looking good man! the engine is lookin really nice and clean too......when you do your plug wires, put a little piece of tape over the chrome parts so you dont rub the chrome off with your fingers... lookin good, keep it goin` cheers bryan
Modlbldr Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Looking killer. I love these Starliners when they are done like this. Can't wait to see it with the wheels. Later-
Eric N. Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Looks good! When you do your BMF Get nice and relaxed-there's a lot of chrome on that one! Eric
Phizz Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Not the best pic, and still have a bit to go along with some better lighting and polish, but I just wanted to check the stance. And that BMF was a challenge, but for my first time I am pretty impressed with the outcome. How's she lookin?
Geno Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 (edited) It rocks. The stance is spot on. Edited May 17, 2013 by Geno
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Wow! Nice start! I need to get one of these
Modlbldr Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 That's looking great, but still a bit high in the front compared to the 1:1. Could be a good cruzing height though. I like the interior work. Later-
Phizz Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 That's looking great, but still a bit high in the front compared to the 1:1. Could be a good cruzing height though. I like the interior work. Later- I agree, I want it alot lower in front but the oil pan and chassis are already pretty much sitting on the ground. To get any lower I would have to sand alot of it away. Again, before I started I knew it wasnt going to be a 100% match, but I wanted to get as close as possible, without pulling too many hairs out. lol
surfjunke Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Really like where this is going! It looks great, just get that front end lower. Very nice clean work & love that finish!
Phizz Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Finished up in Under Glass.... thx to everyone for the support.
