Porscheman Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 (edited) This is a great day I was going through some boxes in my basement and came across this, I thought I sold it 18 years ago. I loved this Cord, thank god it's still in my collection. This is an All American resin transkit for the Monogram Cord 812. It was painted in Testors Silver enamel with a red interior and an off white steering wheel. Enjoy it, My long loss friend is back. Al Craig, This going with me tomorrow night. Harry P. Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 That's a very nice model, even though it could never be driven in the rain...

Porscheman Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 wow , very cool sharp auto , and you just cost me 50 dollars How did I cost you $50.?
jeffs396 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 How did I cost you $50.? Very nice build Al I would assume she liked it so much she went & found one to buy
sjordan2 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Lawsy, that's nice. The only other one I've ever seen was a beautiful version built by fellow member Art Anderson, and I can't remember if it was meant to be a Beverly or Westchester..
Danno Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 That's a very nice model, even though it could never be driven in the rain... Of course it could never be driven in the rain . . . it's way too small! Very nice build, Al. Glad you found your old friend.
Dominik Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Wow! Never saw this cord as a sedan before. Beautiful!
peekay Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Beautiful! I always thought the sedan was better looking than the convertible.
PARTSMARTY Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 AWESOME-CAR-DRIVE IT ONLY ON SUNNY DAYS.WHO WOULD WANT TO TAKE IT OUTIN THE RAIN-LOL.
Porscheman Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I never understood why the model companies only did the convertible and not one of these.
W-Machine Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Al, is that the scale equivalent of a "barn find"? It certainly is a classy-looking ride in that color.
Porscheman Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Al, is that the scale equivalent of a "barn find"? It certainly is a classy-looking ride in that color. Yea, I think it is, only better. The wife won't nag me to get that out of the garage
surfjunke Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Beautiful car & a beautiful build. Very nice, clean work.
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 That's a very nice model, even though it could never be driven in the rain... Maybe the model was supposed to live in Russia. Time was, if you wanted to keep your windshield wipers, you took them off when you left the car. Very good looking model.
Porscheman Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Thanks guys for nice compliments on my Cord.Al
