realgone58 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Finished this curbside up last night. Sprayed factory Light Pine Green Pearl, with grey interior. Kit supplied tires with white walls from Vinyl Nation. The unmarked cop car kit represents a base model Crown Vic, so I went with the LX model. Only difference is the LX has black pillars (instead of body color), and chrome molding inserts for the sides. Noticed that the tail lights are not really correct out of the box. The semi transparent red needed to be continued to the bottom of the lenses, and the strip around the bottom is chrome foiled. One thing about these newer cars is the amount of shaded glass in them! I see so many of these built up that folks forget about that on. And for Harry, it's got mirrors! One kit that had mirrors that were good enough to use.
Shelby 427 1965 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Very clean build, love that colour. Looks like it belongs on a T-Bird!
sjordan2 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Just outstanding. And pearl paints look a ton better than regular metallics. Any interior shots?
Lunajammer Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Wonderful. Nicest civilian build of this model I've seen.
Porscheman Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 You did an excellent build on this Alan. Right my alley.
surfjunke Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Beautiful Crown Vic, Al! Very well done & very clean.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Looks very nice, I like it a lot!! One of the very last cool cars manufactured. Your color choice was very fortunate, and the overall build quality is great. Two tumbs up, for sure!!!!
Harry P. Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 And for Harry, it's got mirrors! One kit that had mirrors that were good enough to use. And that's one of the reasons it looks like a real car and not a model! Terrific work! And as usual, I love your outdoor shots.
Joker Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 McLovin' the paint ! White wall pinners look at home on it.
drifterdon Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Awesome build! This was my favorite car back in the day when I was a Law Enforcement troop in the Air Force. Looks like the real deal.
