OK, show me something that just "Nails it ' for you, nothing wrong. Don't be afraid to critique mine or other post, so if you put something up, it had better be good. :rolleyes:232080694.jpg

Greg, the chopped A coupe on '32 rails you posted, on the left, with the engine low in the chassis "nails it", indeed. Smokin' hot and righteous.

Two of the production cars that got it 100% right...

This thread is going to go all over the place if it's open to both scale models and 1:1 cars. Wouldn't it be better to split it into 2 threads?

It's going to go all over the place anyway. Just watch. People will get "offended," people will post rebuttals to the "offensive" posts, etc. We've seen this story before...

Actually the Zephyr was close... but not quite. What it needed to look like is this...

I've always loved the 1937 Cord.

Yeah, but that's already available in just about every scale. I want to build the 1/12 AMT 2-seater kit into a phaeton (Monogram has it) with a back seat to replicate Tom Mix's custom version. The only difference is that the 1:1 is 7" longer than the sport roadster.

As I understand the question, whether or not it is done in kit form is not the point. I thought this was just about what cars "Plane" (plain) nailed it.

I'm offended that there would be offended posts. I don't get why anyone would be offended by someone posting a pic of a car they like.

I'm in agreement...sort of...I think. Just because I don't like a particular car doesn't mean it offends me that someone else does. I quote Peter Griffin- "I may not like what you say sir, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it!"

Here's a model of mine. I didn't build it, but when it came up for sale, all my neuro-transmitters lit up, and I just couldnt say no. The fact that it was built by the son of the fellow that built the real thing served to make this a gotta-have too.

You are correct, sir. My poor, addled brain was jumping back and forth between this thread and "what would you like to see in resin that hasn't been done?" My apologies.

I think the attitude it had better be good is a bit arrogant. What you consider good and what others do can be 2 different things.
