Guest Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 AMT's Duster. This is actually a rebuild. I built it shortly after the kit was released to replicate my brother's first car, it then had a slant 6 in it. Well, my brother after a couple of years in one of his drunken states trashed it, blamed it on his roommate. I took it home in pieces where it has sat untill a couple of months ago. I rebuilt it, giving it a Hemi, and a black and white interior, with Hemi badges from Revell's 69 Daytona kit.
Mopar - D Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Lee nice work on the rebuild those colors make it pop. Nothing like a Hemi.
JasonC Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I like the color, what is it? And why use the b body hood hinges? I think the 68-69 Revell Dart kits have the correct hinges.
Guest Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Thanks, I have no clue on the color anymore, and those were the only hinges I had to speare.
slusher Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Sharp build Lee, real nice touch on the keystone wheels. love the white interior and color..
PappyD340 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Very NICE Lee, I am kinda partial to them dusters I owned a 72 340 wish I knew then what I know now it would be in my garage today, but that's the way it goes huh? You did a fantastic job on the rebuild, I like it!!!

Harry P. Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 GREAT save,Lee! Looks GREAT! Too bad mopar never putta Hemi in that rascal! Probably because it didn't fit?
Guest Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 How well did they fit in the Dart I wonder. They are pretty much the same car.
JasonC Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 How well did they fit in the Dart I wonder. They are pretty much the same car. I was at a show yesterday and this original LO23 dart was there. One owner car too. Took some pictures of the fit. And yes Duster is the same under the hood as a Dart.
crazyjim Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Nice build, Lee. I like the attitude, Keystones, and the SHINY :)
Pat Minarick Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Nice job ! I think I've seen that car running around town
