Austin T Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/3924205770.html I feel as if the proper name for this picture should be something along "Nova death row" or "Thank god their not fords"
2000-cvpi Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Gotta love an ad for seven cars with only two pictures. To a northern guy, those Novas don't look so bad.
Eshaver Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Saturday night cruising material....................... WAITING TO HAPPEN !!!!!!!!!!
DrKerry Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Don't let Eric see this!!! LOL He may shed a tear!!!
charlie8575 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 A Nova is cheap enough to get into order that even with restoration I'd still be saving money over a newer car. Get something that'll last longer, too, especially with re-coating with modern anti-corrosion materials. Charlie Larkin
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Find a grandma car, running and complete, rust-free. They're still out there by the thousands. Far FAR cheaper than trying to restore something that's been in the swamp-east, uncovered and wet for 30 years.

But id rather something that i enjoyed restoring and building the way i wanted it and crusing down the strip on friday nights
moparfarmer Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Unfortunately if you can't restore it yourself it would cost you way more to make one for todays safety standards...Labor rates are sky high and parts aren't cheap any more..If you had lots of disposable money you could make a real sweet ride. Too good to be a daily driver...My little two cents worth.
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) But id rather something that i enjoyed restoring and building the way i wanted it and crusing down the strip on friday nights You miss the point entirely. Buy the grandma car as a STARTING POINT, instead of a tin-worm-eaten POS. Restore and modify that relatively easily instead of fabbing rot repairs for a hundred hours or more. Or not. It takes an experienced fabricator / sheet-metal restoration guy to look at some piece of junk in a field and tell if it's at all cost-effective to bring it back. It usually isn't, especially when there are thousands of solid donor cars still to be had cheaply. Edited August 1, 2013 by Ace-Garageguy
chevyfever2009 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Around here were im from those cars are getting harder to find
chevyfever2009 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The front two look the best as far as i can tell from the pics
FASTBACK340 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Everyone should save at least one vintage car in their lifetime. And as many shelter Dogs as possible....

DrKerry Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Gas Monkey Garage could redo that entire line of Novas in a week or two! Now that's a good one!!!!
slusher Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Those are cheap enough to buy 2 for a restoration project...
outragis Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Don't let Eric see this!!! LOL He may shed a tear!!! Wish I was closer!
