Porscheman Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 This is why I don't park my car under trees. LOL
Guest Johnny Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 If the glass was intact and it ran they would even have heat! Looks like a photoshop.
Ford guy Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hilarious! Hey, can you climb up there and get me those tail lights? I sure could use them! I've seen tree through cars, but never up them. .. Roy
Guest Johnny Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I have only seen one (60 or 61 Corvair) in a tree but it was only up about 3 feet and the tree had crushed it. The yard owner said it had been shoved off a flatbed trailer and landed in the group of small trees and had been there over 30 years. Seen a dozen or more, mostly convertibles that had tree growing through them although one was a 50's Caddy that was on it's side and the tree grew up through the windows. I helped my bosses brother down in Sikeston Mo. get one out of the hollow behind his yard that a customer bought and fully restored. 55 Chevy Belair convertible had a 24 inch diameter tree coming up through the back floor pan. Was a real pain getting the tree cut down without dropping anything on the car.
slusher Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 l can't tell if its photoshop or not but someone would want it. How could you get it down...
jeffs396 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Can you say photoshop? Look close, steering wheel is on the right side! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Falcon_XK
SSNJim Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Can you say photoshop? Look close, steering wheel is on the right side! Yet the license plate reads correctly! I can see EK. How did they manage that?
Skydime Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) Can you say photoshop? Look close, steering wheel is on the right side! Looks more like it's sitting behind the RHD front passenger seat to me. Edited August 3, 2013 by Skydime
Tom Geiger Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I built this one but I'll never do the car in the tree thing, or the tree growing through the car thing... too clique and has been over done in scale!
DrKerry Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) I know of one down the highway from me, it's a truck in a tree. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://portalwisconsin.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/cover1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://portalwisconsin.wordpress.com/2011/03/15/odd-wisconsin-attractions-clinton%25E2%2580%2599s-truck-in-the-tree-by-brian-dambrosio/&h=2048&w=1536&sz=584&tbnid=JqoTrSa9BAYWvM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=68&zoom=1&usg=__dQ8G6dY9wvcrk4Aw1etG45aakK8=&docid=Vg5HbGJoyza5PM&sa=X&ei=TX38UZmIIMfQyAHz5oHwDA&ved=0CDgQ9QEwAQ&dur=1777 Better yet a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBlwfQ7u6ac Edited August 3, 2013 by DrKerry
clovis Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I've never seen a car in a tree like that. The saddest car/tree sighting was a '59 El Camino that had been placed on top of another car, and had a 16 inch tree growing through the bed. "That has been here as long as I can remember" the junkyard owner said, "an will be here longer than I'll be alive." Yet, when I returned to the yard in the next spring, he had cut down the tree and sent the El Camino to the "big scrap yard in the sky". It would have taken $200,000 to have restored that car...but it made me sick to see it sitting there, and even sicker knowing it was now gone forever.
DrKerry Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Well, that explains alot, maybe the first pic wasnt a photoshop then. Not sure on it being photoshopped or not, Juss saying there's some different folks up here in the land of cheese!!! You should see his place and some of the other stuff he has sitting outside!!! Some kool stuff!!!
zenrat Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Falcon_XK Too subtle Jeff. Some people won't bother clicking on a link.
Maindrian Pace Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Tree looks like a Eucalyptus, more Aussie clues. -MJS
Erik Smith Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) Yes, looks like Eucalyptus and right drive - down under. Eucalyptus will sprout and grow if topped - my guess is they topped a tree, set the car on the flat spot, and the branches sprouted out around it. They grow relatively fast too.
