kennb Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) Now that I have the method right lets go through the entire process. For this time I have a Dodge charger that we are going to put on weight gain program and beef the body up. The pictures will show the process but will comment also. step one: I slit the tops of each fender the length of the fender. step two: I opened the fender up and using a hair dryer on hot very carefully relieved the pressure to the fenders. I inserted a pencil to open them up. be very careful not to over heat the plastic. Step three: cut out slivers of plastic to the shape of the new opening and put in place. this is a lot easier said than done and takes some patience. glue in place and set aside for the day. Step four: sand the tops out and use filler as needed. Dont over do the filler . Step five: prime and sand step six..........you now have a muscle car with some real muscle. kennb Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 probably..............................not sure
freakshow12 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Yup 69 super bee. Now that you did that you could just send it to me to finish it up since you got 3 going! Lol

george 53 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Monograms 69 Coronet 440 six pack. Still a B-Body though. That idea of bulgein the fenders should work out real nice. I've seen it done that way on quite a few other body's. lookin good already!
kennb Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 I am sending this on the freakshow to finish off..........
freakshow12 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 And I am excited to work with it. I am actually going to use this as a bit of a community build of sorts. All of you interested will have some input on color, trim, wheels, engine etc. Should be fun
Bill Eh? Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Fred, might I be correct in assuming pro touring with some seriously wide rubber?
freakshow12 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Lol yup. Low dark color to show off the sweet curves. New hemi or viper engine, all while remaining true to the bee with the rear stripe and six pack hood
kennb Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 you can get some real serious rubber in the back and not narrow the rear end
Jeremy Jon Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 A muscular Charger will look great, pro-touring + resto-mod?
