This one started out as a promo restoration project for a 68. Well the grill was damaged beyond repair and none of the resin casters make replacement grill. So while I was at NNL East I came across a partial 70 kit, less chassis and glass for $15.00. I primed the kit body with Dupli-Color red primer, 3 coats of Dupli-Color Toredor Red and 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. The interior matches the body less the clear. The chassis and glass are from the promo.

Harry Look, Mirrors.

Let me know what you think.

I wish Generic Motas could still build "OVER" engineered cars like this again. I say that cause if ya look under the hood, notice the steering gear , the heavy trans axle . Great workmanship on this car too !

I remember thinking how cool those Toronados looked when I was growing up. It's not often that we get to see one built, and even rarer to see one with the '70 grille, which I still consider an attractive design decades later. I'm glad to see that you were able to rescue this one. As I've told you before, you seem to have a knack for choosing the perfect shade of paint for a given subject, and Toreador red absolutely rocks on this build. Well done!
