Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Started this at the end of July... Just wanted to do a quick build. Nothing wired. Cragars on parts box whitewalls. Testors Bronze paint... Didnt want too much shine. Was aiming towards a car that a high school kid owned and spent most of his time working on in auto shop class.... Pat Minarick Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Nice job ! I like the white walls. Hard to tell from the angle of the pictures ,but it looks like it sits real nice.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Ill get some better pics tomorrow, but it does have a nice rake to it... Thanks bro
TooOld Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Great looking Camaro ! I also like the Cragars and the whitewalls . Only thing I might have done different is a full width bumper instead of the split bumper , but that's not an easy change . You did good , nice job !
bbowser Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I think I like these 2nd generations better than the first. Nice job. I don't think many high school kids would have whitewalls however!
modeler98 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I'm in high school and I have whitewalls on my pinto... granted they're maypops but durn it they're whitewalls!
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Thanks .... Yea, I'm sure most high school kids don't have whitewalls, but my first car sure did lol
realgone58 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Can't go wrong with white walls and Cragars on '70s cars. Looks cool.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 Thanks fellas... I really appreciate the kind words
Skydime Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) With the color and wheels, this thing looks like it peeled rubber right out of the 70s. It is always nice to see one built like this. Leaving off the spoilers was the right thing to do here as well. You sure have captured the spirit of this car in it's day. Edited August 20, 2013 by Skydime
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 Thanks Ken... I almost didnt see this... lol
ToyLvr Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Just the way I like 'em, both the model and the 1:1...Great job! As for the white walls, back in those days when some of us were teenagers, ya took whatever you could find, especially if the tires were a freebee or hand-me-down from Dad's car....
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 thanks Mike... yea, I know, I just like how they look so much better than plain blackwall tires....
