outragis Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Something I saw at a small show here in Vermont Edited August 27, 2013 by outragis
Guest Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 First time I've seen plug wires running through the intake!
Joe Handley Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Must be a late model Hemi motor.....makes me wonder if that blower actually works though.
Joe Handley Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 If it's like the pro street '55 Chevy 2dr wagon I heard the other night, that had to be a pretty healthy whine!
slusher Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 l would have enjoyed hearing it run and seeing it in person. Thanks for posting it...
Joe Handley Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Found This! Edited August 27, 2013 by Joe Handley
PappyD340 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 That's just too KOOL, but I bet it would be a handful if you got on the throttle with a heavy foot, some guys just have all the fun!!
tubbs Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 where is the distributor? older hemis are in the rear but I cant follow the wires, never seen dual plug heads on an older hemi? radiator must be in the back trunk. pretty wild ride,
Joe Handley Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 where is the distributor? older hemis are in the rear but I cant follow the wires, never seen dual plug heads on an older hemi? radiator must be in the back trunk. pretty wild ride, It's one of the new Hemi motors, which are distributorless and use 16 plugs vs 8 right from the factory. I'm just not sure where he's got the coil packs mounted.
bbowser Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 An example of too much is not enough! Wild ride.
Joe Handley Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 An example of too much is not enough! Wild ride. Just imagine if he had put a twin plug 426 Hemi based motor in it instead! Probably wouldn't have that much hood left on it.
dodgefever Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Weight distribution? It doesn't even look good with the engine that far forward. "Hemini" has been done before anyway, with a proper engine in a real Mini:
outragis Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 This car is wicked in person! Another show in 2 weaks, I'm sure it will be there, il take more pics and ask questions...
Tom Geiger Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I can only imagine how much it cost to build that! New mini, new hemi...
ToyLvr Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 How long will it be before we see something like that Stuffed into a Fiat 500??? ;-)
JM485 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 How long will it be before we see something like that Stuffed into a Fiat 500??? ;-) Challenge accepted
ToyLvr Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Josh: Do you by any chance have a Grandma who lives in Pasadena? ;-)
Joe Handley Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) I can only imagine how much it cost to build that! New mini, new hemi... Eh, get a totaled Mini with front end damage, pull the Hemi out of a totaled Hemi Truck or LX car, buy goodies and break out the torches! How long will it be before we see something like that Stuffed into a Fiat 500??? ;-) That would take a lot of Shoehorn Be better off finding a rearended Minivan, Journey, Avenger, or 200 with the Pentastar/6-speed Auto combo and make a SHOgun type pocket rocket out of it Basically this, With this Mounted here, With bodywork like this, For something like these.................in Fiat 500 form! And no you can't have my 200 as a donor car Edited August 28, 2013 by Joe Handley
