Time for a little bit of an update

Working occasionally over the past couple of months, I managed to get most of the trim foiled.

I'm finding this a difficult color to photograph. This is pretty close to how it actually looks. Kind of a late 60's blue-green.

I painted the silver inner trim frames on the tail light lenses with a tooth pick.

As always, thanks for looking and feel free comment.

Thanks for the comments.

I have a little more foil work and some paint touch-up then polishing.

Getting closer to being done.

Just asking what paint you used as your yellow .have tried a yellow on a daytona spider I'm not too happy with it but selection was very limited ? Deb :)

Thanks Danno!

Looks great...the matching steelies set it off for me.

Thanks. I've got the rear dog dish caps ready to put on, but I may leave them off just for kicks. Too bad I don't have some snow tires.

Thank you. It's Ford Chrome Yellow Duplicolor #BFM0363

Thanks Carl, the foil work is roughest part for me. I'm always happy when it comes out decently.

Thanks to everybody for the encouragements.

The rear snow tires would be great lol...I would put the rear dog dish covers on though...I love this build though no matter what you choose it looks good.

Nice work. Looks like you've got a handle on your Airbrush.

I've Owned two Airbrushes. Bought them new. Followed the Directions to the Letter. They didn't work.

I've Destroyed two Airbrushes. Bought them new. No Directions for their Destruction. I Improvised. There wasn't anything salvageable.

Speed, Gravity and Crash Landing onto Cement from three Stories up will put an end to pretty much anything.

I'll never buy another. One was a Badger, the other... I don't remember and at this point... it doesn't matter.

Minor update- I finished the foil yesterday and sprayed it with future. I used my new Paasche VL airbrush; much nicer to use than the cheap Central Pneumatic.

The color isn't exactly what I intended, but I think it's beginning to grow on me.

Now I'll wait about a week for the Future to cure, then buff it out and put it together and post the final results in Under Glass.

As always, thanks for looking.

It's looking great, beautiful color!  I like the detail work

also, thin white wall job you did is real nice.

The tail end work is also awesome!

Hello Everybody!

As some of you may know, I've been going back over my old threads and updating old photos and replacing broken photo links. To say that there is a lot of work involved in such a project is a bit of an understatement.

I've gone in and reedited the old photos to hopefully make them a bit more eye friendly and uploaded them again. This should be the last time I have to rescue this topic from the PhotoBucket Monster.

Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy.

Regards,

David G.
