hjracing Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Wow really cool build, I really like it, and the level of details is awesome too!
crazyrichard Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) that roof _____ whow how awsome love the work on the patina as well but the roof is tasty as ..... would be cool to see a weathered , worn , patina paintjob like the roof , so the design of the roof all over a car but with patina and worn off in places ... barnfind lowrider Edited October 22, 2013 by crazyrichard
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Here's a couple pics of Gary's work... And its a 53 ford Vic....
edward smith Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 This really turned out quite cool man, I love it.
plastikjunkie2 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 thanks again guys . and draglo I looked at that pic of garys work for inspiration..
Tom Geiger Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I like it! For your first attempt at patina, you've hit it outta the park! Very cool model.
fat141 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 (edited) Re Lowrider Mate, how good is that.? Spot on Tyres are pinners and not wide whites at all. Wheel/tyre combo is just how 1;1 look. Right hand drive cars are in abundance down here in Aus LOL Cheers Rod Edited October 25, 2013 by fat141
Marshy Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Love the roof mate, wicked job allround, well done, and yes can we some more of the roadster please. Cheers Marshy
Danno Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 The patina is right on and the roof paint is super! Not my preferred style, but it's executed very well and represents an auto fashion that is . . . untraditional . . . to the mainstream. Good job of representing the stretched mini-tire low rider style.
Davewilly Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Very very cool! As for the wheels...have the cars in Phoenix them just like that. weathered paint and the roof is very well done!
plastikjunkie2 Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 thanks again guys and marshy heres some of the roadster
DrKerry Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Erich, thanks for putting up pics of the roadster. That thing is NUTS!!!!!!!!! Now that is how a roadster should look, total Bad A@#!!!!!
carrucha Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Good job on the save. I have also seen beater cars with fancy paint on the tops. The paint, interior and wheel/tire combo go well together.
Dominik Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 interesting mix of styles. I'd like to see a complete paintjob like the roof from you - that looks awesome! I also think, a flatcolor painted body looks better than a weathered...but thats my taste, doesn't matter.
plastikjunkie2 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 thanks again guys!! im working on a 65 low-rider now with a patterned job..
espo Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Late to the party. Just read all of the comments by others on the subject of this build. I personally like it and think it is relevant. If you would like to see some of the current styles today look at the Contest section under Cruisin Nationals Car Show Memorial Day '16. You will find pictures from one of the top car shows on the west coast held in Santa Maria California. This will show the building trends going on right now.
