Roncla
My idea with this one was to make a shop truck that was a work in progress with a lightly weathered primer paint job but a interior that was finished. The engine is out of a Revell stock car and the rear end from the Revell 32. Revell Orange Crate wheels with big and little white walls from Tweety Pie. I machined up a few knick knaks and added various P/E bits from Model Car Garage. Apart from a few fiddly bits this kit builds up without any major drama and for a kit originally from the 80s I believe ?, it still holds up well. Roncla
BTW, the kit dates from 1964. Thanks for the heads up on the release date Peter. I knew i'd seen a article on the old 40 Ford kits and found it this evening in the August 1990 issue of SAE page 36 ' Model Car Chronicles by Tim Boyd. Thirty years of 40 Ford Kits.' Its a in depth look at the history of the old 40 Ford kits These kits have stood the test of time well and must have paid for the cost of tooling many times over.
