Brianl Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Back to hot rods again thanks to a donated Phantom Vicki body & chassis. Hemi, artillery wheels, zedded chassis at the front & underslung at the back. Bit of fun doing a four seater. Just out of masking ! Thanks for looking Brian
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I like the hammered look you've got going on this one. Much MUCH better than the too-high version the kit builds up into. Very nice work.
Bernard Kron Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 The planets are starting to align on this thing! Now I know what to do with all those phantom vic bodies I have gotten from one of my favorites parts kits! The basic idea was kool, and the paint scheme just took it up a notch. Looking forward to more, more, more...
gashat Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Yeah Where are the wheels from? Cool build !
Brianl Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Thanks for the feedback. It always helps when you try something different. Wheels are from "The Parts Box" an Australian mob that have a good range of resin bits available online. The wheels are clean & come with well detailed backing plates/brakes & hub caps. They also do a good range of front axles for rods that are reinforced with wire so even the thinest ones don't sag. Half the rod kit axles are too thick or have a steel axle through them which kills the look. Have a good one Brian
mikelo Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Great thing to do with that body. Looks great so far. Mike
