oldscool Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) It's an unarmed and unarmored car so I think it goes in this category. This is Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery's personal ride during the post Normandy invasion period of the war. Brush painted with Pollyscale and Humbrol military paints. Not a bad kit at all for it's age and heritage, just wish it was 1/25. Edited November 17, 2013 by oldscool
Tom Geiger Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Very nice! The Airfix 1/32 range are actually very nice kits. Some of them have the detail level of 1/25 scale kits. As an American kid growing up in Europe they were all that was available so I became very familiar with them!

oldscool Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Thanks to all of you for the repiles.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Very nicely done. I'd love to see that in 1/25 too.
PappyD340 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Extremely NICE build Gerald, looks great!!
GerN Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 You used a brush to paint the body? I certainly can't tell that from the photos. Nice work!
sjordan2 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Excellent detail. Does the rear seat windscreen fold up?
Plastheniker Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Very clean build of an unusual and interesting car. As a former military modeler your paintwork impresses me most. This constant marginal shine on all parts is perfect and really hard to achieve.
oldscool Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Excellent detail. Does the rear seat windscreen fold up? It doesn't fold but comes with the option of having it up or down. I chose to have it down so that I could add the uptop if i want to.

I usually overcoat it with Testors Dullcote but didn't this time
