Snake45 Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 Very cool project! I never realized I wanted one of these until I saw yours. Will have to keep my eyes open for a rebuildable, affordable glue bomb. Drive on!
RancheroSteve Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 An update - engine is in, headers on, radiator in, brakes on, wiring & hoses. Made a pair of gas tanks for the rear. Added a battery. Last good look before the rest of the bodywork starts to go on.
Misha Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 That is great detail on the rear of the chassis! I realize that the body is nearly done with paint, yet it would be great to have the trunk panel removable to view your work. I still have my original that I built when it came out, all the parts are in a box, so one day perhaps... your build is great inspiration. Cheers Misha

I was going to save it for the next update, but I have in fact made the trunk panel hinged and removeable.
RancheroSteve Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 (edited) Inching towards completion! Body is on and engine compartment and interior are finished. Edited February 27, 2020 by RancheroSteve
afx Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Coming along nicely Steve. I like your saw horses too.
David G. Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Wow! There sure is a bit of history behind this project. I shouldn't talk, I had one build that took me about a decade to complete. I sure am glad I found it though, it was great seeing the progression of your work. I'll be sure to look for it in the Under Glass section. David G.
