I like your concept, it's coming along well. I don't know what happened on that firewall to floor pan, on both of the Fairlanes I got (the stock kit, & the NASCAR kit) the firewall fit like a glove, I didn't have to do anything but clean a small amount of plastic "weld"..

Let's just say she ain't as stock as she looks! Since I am covering most of it up I didn't spent a lot of time on the areas you wont be able to see.

This is getting better and better!!!

Just remember that on a Y-Block V8, when you remove the intake manifold and install this setup injection, you have to include a custom tube connecting the front of the heads to together with a common exit to the radiator. This or you are going to have two radiator hoses, one from each head.

More, more, more! Tulio, thanks for the tip, I'm either chopping the water inlet off one of the intakes or making a two into one set up for the radiator, more on that later. Some things I'm waiting until the body is mounted to avoid having to redo them. I mounted the chassis to the floorpan and drilled holes to mount the windshield. I also scratch built a grille and the body work is done. I finished and painted the dashboard, I mocked it up for these photos. This is how she will sit, I'm thinking maybe paint tonight.

I finally got some paint on her! I was going to do a darker blue, but I thought this looked a little more "50's". I got the color idea from Mickey Thompson's streamliner. I have to sand some dirt out but she should be wrapping up soon.

Perfect color on the blue.... I feel it needs some white metallic or silver metallic on it as a 2 tone on top or something. To like accent the top fin piece and the topside of the car.

Jessie, I thinking the same way except I can't figure out where to make the break. I think maybe with the chrome trim and bumpers it won't look so plain. Thanks for the kind words from the rest of you, it means a lot!

I threw some decals on it to break up all of that blue. I also started to mount the bumpers and then I noticed the huge seam across the corner and had to sand that out and then strip the chrome. I hope to Alclad them later today. So all that is left is to mount the bumpers, injector stacks, and dashboard and we'll stick a fork in this one and call it medium well!

Bruce, very soon it will be under glass, there are some minor details that are still being worked out. As of right now, I'm waiting for the front bumper to dry and then I have to slap it on and call it done!

OK, she's up on the "Under Glass" section. David, Bruce, Andy, Michael, and everyone else, thanks for the encouragement. I think it turned out exactly as I had planned. It means a lot to have fellow modelers give you the thumbs up on your work.
