Hawk312
Built this one using the Summit Firebird Pro Stock kit. I was trying to build this one quickly to try to get to other projects, so I only added minimal detail to this. Also, if any of you have a spare set of wheelie bars for this kit, I would be interested in them. I managed to break one of them, and had to steal from another kit. Hawk312
Thanks everyone! It looks really good look so real what did you use for the parachute lines going under the chassic? John Pol Thanks! I used electric hookup wire with a very thin strand of wired wrapped around it, and then painted flat black.
Hawk312
Oh, and btw, this was my first time using Testor`s "One Coat" lacquer. It goes on really thick, but the results were very nice, IMO. I think I only used 3 coats of clear, and didnt have any trouble sanding through when I wet-sanded and buffed it out. Hawk312
GREAT job, David!!! You did say "minimal detail" didn't you??!!! Thanks Doc! Yeah, for what I wanted to do. I didn`t have the photo-etched belt buckles I thought I had (thats why there are no buckles on the belts) and I totally skipped the firewall detail I was planning on doing. And I had no reference pics for any of the detail in the back, so I pretty much left that go. I am on to the Fram top fuel dragster now. That should be a little more detailed. Thanks.
