uncle potts Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 An absolute beauty! The detail in the engine compartment alone is amazing. Very nice.
gasser59 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I've finally figured out just how you build so fast. You don't wait for the glue or paint to dry. Remarkable progress John. You build so fast that its almost like live entertainment.
Ira Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Wonderful Builds John! Amazing, Beautiful Detail! Thanks so much for sharing...
crazyrichard Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 just speechless ... this is one of those threads where most of us only can say oooh and ahhhh ... its a joy to watch and the results ... out of this world .. perfection
Plasticfanatic Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!! Those wire wheels will look great once you remove the chrome and paint them metalic silver, these where not chromed on the real cars..and are one of the few exceptions which I am glad of that, the 300-SLR look much more atractive thst way...in my personal opinion and taste. Once more SUPEB master class on scale modeling is shown in your Mercedes race team project, can't wait to see it finish.
Harry P. Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I thought the transporter looked good... the car looks even better! Great work, John.

John Teresi Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Hello…….thank you all very much for the kind comments…….I really do apprecieate them …….the body has been primmered and the body work finished…….it is painted PPG Deltron DBC Silver……I also applied the decals but, they had a yellow/brownish border and I knew if I applied them like that they would look nasty……..so I cut each number seperate and cut the yellow/brownish border off each number……..I think the results look pretty good …….I will give it a coat of clear today…….thanks for looking.
