Porscheman Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) I started this one a while back and forgot I had it. I was looking for some wheels and came across it and decided to finish it today. This is a Perry's resin trans-kit to go with Revell's 67 Chevelle chassis. It was painted Dupli-color Canyon Red Met., with Testors Wet Look clear top coat. The interior was done in semi gloss black and the windows were tinted with Tamiya's Clear Blue. I have to admit it, I think it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think. Al Edited December 6, 2013 by Porscheman
george 53 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Got mine from R&R thru Steve Kohler's Star Models. Nice kit, and Steve is a GREAT guy to order from! Yours came out REAL nice!
Eshaver Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Isn't amazing how for two years , stylists at generic motas got everything jus right ? Seems you did that Buick "Jus Right " too !
realgone58 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 You're killin' me man.........another beauty!
Porscheman Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks guys!!! I always liked this car, even being a Ford guy.
charlie8575 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Not quite a stock color, but that does look really nice on it. I always thought the 1968-69 Skylark had a real dash of flair to it that the 1970-72 models lost big-time. Great looking model of a great-looking car. Charlie Larkin
bbowser Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Great model of a seldom seen body style, I love it!

FordRodnKustom Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I always liked this car, even being a Ford guy. Yep, me too! That dramatic trunk/rear styling gets my attention every time. Nice job. Perfect color.
Shardik Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Great model of a great car. That red is the perfect color to set off those clean lines. Question: How did you get such a subtle tint on the windows? Did you thin the transparent blue with clear?
Porscheman Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Great model of a great car. That red is the perfect color to set off those clean lines. Question: How did you get such a subtle tint on the windows? Did you thin the transparent blue with clear? Thanks guys. For the window tint I use Tamiya Clear Blue out of the can. 4 light coats right on top of each other. It's take 5 seconds to paint all 4 coats and 1 minute later and your ready to install. Just remember light coats and the tint will be perfect. PM me if you need help. Al
Shardik Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks for the info, Al. This surprises me, as I would have expected it to be too dark straight from the can.
