Harry P. Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 This week's car comes from forum member Ken Stone (otherunicorn). Remember... don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with year, make and model (need all three for credit). The answer: 1963 Matra Djet
Nitro Neil Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 OK, here's one where the parts look good, but they look ugly as a unit. Looks like a Frankenstein's monster to me.
Sixties Sam Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Yeah, it looks like a mish-mash of many kinds of cars. I'm clueless! Sam
mr moto Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) I think it's an old promo. It looked pretty good before it warped! Edited December 4, 2013 by mr moto
Harry P. Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 I think it's an old promo. It looked pretty good before it warped! Done in my best Wicked Witch of the West voice... I'm melting! Melting!!! Oh, what a world!!!
slusher Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I don't even know where to start with this one..
Harry P. Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 This week's car is a Matra Djet, built between 1962-67. From wikipedia: The Matra Djet was a French sports car designed by René Bonnet and modified by Matra. The car had various names in its life from 1962 till 1967: René Bonnet Djet, Matra Bonnet Djet, Matra Sports Djet and finally Matra Sports Jet. DonW Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I'm pretty sure the specific car isn't a Rene Bonnet, it's one of the Matra built ones - they were slightly restyled and a bit larger I understand, But there were so many variations of wheelarches, wheels, trim, bumpers, badge placement, name and number that I never found two the same! This one seems to have the 'teeth' missing from the bonnet vent on top of the nose...Good one, anyway.
