James2 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Outstanding build, It'll make a great gift too!
crazyjim Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Sweet, neat, and SHINY :) . I'm sure Dad is going to love it.
W-409 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Very nice Impala. Your paint job is excellent and sharp BMF work finishes it off. Nice detailing in the engine, too. X-Frame Chevrolets are always nice to see and especially if they are built as nicely as this. Only thing I would have done different would be the wheels, those Steel Wheels just look "Right" to me. But of course it's just my opinion that doesn't matter.
surfjunke Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Beautiful build! Very clean. I'm sure he will love it! I know i would!
crazypainter Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 That's a real nice build--I want to build one in white -raised up a little higher -same kind of wheels & tires---only with a 327--!!!!
Ryan S. Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Well, Dad loved his Impala and is proudly displaying it in the house. Thanks again for all the comments and kudos, they mean a lot.
Rdkingjay Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Fantastic build Ryan. It looks great. Aside from resto's this is my favorite type of build. Replicating someones car as a gift/tribute. Just completed a '59 Impala ragtop for a very old friend. Never get tired of these types of builds!!
Burnout Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That's beautiful. Nice job all around but I really like your engine bay and I agree, those are great kits.
Dave42 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Excellent looking build.Shiny where it should be, not where it shouldn't, Very realistic looking.
58 Impala Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Great job, nice gift. Did one for my dad several years ago of his baby blue 58 Impala for Father's Day. He loved it, couldn't have bought a gift that meant more.
fun9c1 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Very nice! I'm sure that meant alot to him! I just bought the Lindberg '53 Ford Victoria to do the same thing for my dad. Unfortunately he does not have any pics and I would like this to be a suprise, so I'll have to get info out of him without being suspicious... I love the subtle weathering you did. Looks very real. Two questions: are the wipers seperate pieces? If not, how did you get them to look like they are? Also, How were the gages and speedo done? Are they decals? Or did you make a deal with the devil? Super nice detail work all around. Congrats!
