Nick Winter Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 I've finally had the time and desire to do some building and updating here, Entry list is up to date, and once I finish two 3/4's finished builds I'll probably make a start on my secret (not really once I take some pictures) Brock Yates tribute entry. Nick
knarf Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 i do believe i'd like to add a 2nd entry Mr Winters if you please, starting with these right here and goin this direction at the moment let's call it lil' gass'r
Pat Minarick Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) I finally picked an engine for the RatMad ,it had to be a big block ! I also cut some holes in the rear for the radiator . I narrowed the rear bumper and hide the seam under the guards . Edited March 2, 2014 by Road Runner 79
TFchronos Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Wow, I'm amazed at all the creative work going on here. I'm not so sure even my A++ game will be good enough this year. Great work you guys, keep it up! Edited March 2, 2014 by TFchronos
JTalmage Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I havent touched the General Mayhem in a few weeks. Been too poor to drive to my friends house and work on it lol Plus I've been trying to get more work done on my real car lately at another friends house.. so I can actually drive it for a change.
JTalmage Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 You're all doing very well. I'm still here. Done nothing. Probably won't do anything until at least October... Here's something someone on the Australian Automotive Model Builders forum has built... This makes me jealous!! I hope mine looks half that good when done.
Erik Smith Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Trying to have the Riviera finished before the weekend... Seats in - interior done. What? Anybody else running a space age FuzzBuster III? Body in black...windows drying...
Nick Winter Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Anybody else running a space age FuzzBuster III? I was going to run a FuzzBuster II, but it looks like I may need to step up to a FuzzBuster IV Nick
DriftingRookie Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I'm going to withdrawal myself from this for now. having some family problems, I will keep watch
stang_crazy Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Just wanted to post that I am here just no progress as I've been pretty sick the last few weeks and work has left me completely exhausted to the point I've had no energy to do anything. I am hoping to start some progress next week. Trying to have the Riviera finished before the weekend... Seats in - interior done. What? Anybody else running a space age FuzzBuster III? Body in black...windows drying... Looks like you'll be done in no time at all LOL. looking good.
Erik Smith Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Riviera is done! I will park it until the start of the race! More UNDER GLASS
TFchronos Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Very, very, vey, very nice job Erik and congratulations.
Lunajammer Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Outstanding Eric! You're clearly an extraordinarily experienced builder. I love everything about this and your details are exactly right.
Pat Minarick Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Riviera is done! I will park it until the start of the race! More UNDER GLASS I love this, it should fly under the radar very nicely. Edited March 10, 2014 by Road Runner 79
JTalmage Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) I was at my friends house over the weekend helping him work on his '86 Mustang coupe he picked up a while back... Got drunk afterwards and ended up putting some more flat black on my '68 Charger. Looks pretty good from what I remember.. lol Edited March 10, 2014 by JTalmage
JTalmage Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I did not expect to like the american racing vectors on a '66 Riv, but it looks great!
JTalmage Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Did a little work to the Charger last night. Trying to get all the details on the body worked out before I add any rust and flat clear. I need to finish my '55 Chevy rusty gasser before I work on the Charger more because I need the zip lock bag it's in LOL
64SS350 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Progress on the Cutlass interior, converted auto console to 4speed and door panels need window cranks yet. Can only do thumbnails right now, not wanting to upload properly from Photobucket.
Jantrix Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Man that Riv is really wicked! I love everything about it. Well done.
Nick Winter Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 I'm still in this, dug something out, and have been doing the planning stages for the last few days when I have time! Nick All I will say is 4 link, 4 barrel, 4 wheel discs..........
Nick Winter Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 Meet the Fire-Am.....................Took a bagged kit I bought at a show, emptied the contents, ditched half of it, and started digging for other parts. What I kept What went back in the Trans am drawer Needs to be lower, and meaner. It's a Rough kit, but I'll do what I can to fix it as I go, wasn't worried about glue marks at this point, body is already a disaster of mold marks and lines, sink marks and other assorted issues. Nick

Nick I hope this thing looks like its straight out of the Cannonball Run! 80's nascar street car styled like the Hawaiian Tropic Laguna! lol Edited March 18, 2014 by JTalmage
hvymtl Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Looks good Nick I love the old MPC F-bodies all mine are glue bombs Michael
W-409 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I've been following this thread actively, but haven't posted anything as my Charger Daytona has been kinda stalled for a while. Erik's Riviera turned out really nice! The paint is incredible, especially when thinking how much trouble gloss black paint jobs have caused to me. I really don't care for the modern engine in it, but otherwise I like it. Pat's Nomad is looking good! That is gonna be a Wild Ride for sure. All that body and frame work you've done looks really good. Nice scratchbuilding! Matti did also a good work with the scoop on his Impala. That Cowl Induction Hood will fit perfectly on Impala's body shapes. I'm looking forward to see how it turns out. Everyone else has done really nice job, too, keep the builds going (Including me )! Here's a little update on my Charger Daytona. I cut a hole on the hood and made a scoop. It is the bottom part of kit's Pro Stock style scoop turned around and cut apart. Then I added sheet styrene to cover the hole on top of it. I started painting the interior tub, too.
