Mopar - D Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) This is a resin body and interior I got off eBay of the 64 Bevledere and is based off the Lindberg 64 Bevledere kit so that's what I'm using as my donor. After getting some pictures of what the 1:1was I found some issues with the body. The side trim molding is missing and trim around the back window also missing so I used some evergreen to add the missing trim. The back quarter panels had a indent but the wagons don't so I've started filling that in as well. This is the same out fit that makes the 67 Bevledere wagon and I got the same problem with the interior in fitting on the chassis and the seat pattern is different so I'm doing the same with this one as I did on the other one I'm just using the back wagon section adding it to the donor interior tub. I'm going with a light blue bottom and white top with a blue interior. This one will have the 426 wedge. Your comments and suggestions are always appreciated. Edited February 2, 2014 by Mopar - D
disabled modeler Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 VERY COOL Dan...!!! Id have to factory stock one...too cool not to.
Speedfreak Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) Should be able to just about push anything that is moveable with that engine. Cool project! Would they have used 14" wheels on a car of this magnitude? I can't imagine that but I think it was possible in '64. Edited December 28, 2013 by Speedfreak
gtx6970 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Me likey. I might have to get me one of these bodies I am pretty certain 14" wheels would have been the only one avail on a wagon .
Mopar - D Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Made a little progress today with primer.
VERNON Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Who makes the body? Looks like kustomresin.com or his ebay store, rdsxfan2,....I"ve bought many bodies from Mark Gendron and have been very pleased with his items, prices and shipping time. Check both his ebay store and website. Vernon
Mopar - D Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Vernon your correct it was on his eBay listing rdsxfan2. Here are some updates with paint on the bottom section and the motor painted.
Mopar - D Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Thanks Carl, I hope to have the white top sprayed on Friday.
Rob Hall Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Looking good...I've got a resin '65 Belvedere wagon that I plan to do in a similar way..
om617 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Wagons are cool. It would maby be safe to call a sleeper with the wedge engine
rustybill1960 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I really like the body style Looks real good Great color combo too I will be watching this Thanks for sharing Later Russ
Mopar - D Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Here's today's updates. I sprayed the top white, painted the front grill and wheels and have progress on the chassis I'm using exhaust from the 67 GTX still need some more work on them to get the tail pipes to turn out to the side. Your comments and suggestion are welcome.
jsc Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I love these wagons!! Did I miss the explanation of why there are no door handles on the front doors?
moparfarmer Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Don't know whether I asked or not but why is there a huge space under the hood as it meets the grill? Why no front door handles either? Are you going to make some or what?
Mopar - D Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 John the front door handles are part of the donors parts. Here are some updates added some detail to the engine and more work on the chassis.
Mopar - D Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Also fixed the front brace that was cast to far forward causing the front grill to stick out.
