Mopar - D Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 This is the JoHan 68 Fury III convertible with MWC Bright Red and A white and black interior. I changed out the molded in details on the chassis and put a 440 in with some details added. As always your comments are appreciated.
Dominik Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 What a beauty! Love it, such a nice car. Never saw one of this as a convertible...is it real?
Porscheman Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Excellent built!!! Convertibles need to be RED
Mopar - D Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Lee, yea the radiator hose came off and I didn't notice until I saw the pictures. It's back on now and I tried to blend a Chrysler turquoise but it did not come out as good as I wanted it to. Thanks for the comments.
slusher Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Beautiful model Dan, I enjoyed watching you build it...

Mopar - D Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Chris the camera work credit goes to my son for taking the pictures. Thanks for the comment.
george 53 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 This was ALWAYS a pretty car. My cousin had a Sport Coupe, a "Good Guy Special" B-5 Blue with a white vynil top/interior. Such a NICE lookin ride! Yours came out nice too!
charlie8575 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Another nice one for your shelf, Dan. Charlie Larkin
Mopar - D Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Thanks for the comments Charlie and Allen it was fun to build.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Sweet, makes me want to fnd one online now.
mangodart Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 It's back on now and I tried to blend a Chrysler turquoise but it did not come out as good as I wanted it to. Very nice build, I like the big size Mopar !!! For your next build, try to find a spray can from Tamiya, it's a WW2 US NAvy color which is very close to the Mopar turquoise engine color : AS19, intermediate Navy Blue Maybe try to find some license plate to complete the "as real" look of your car !!! Thanks for posting such a nice convertible
