tbill Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Well,it's the first completion of the new year, nothing major, but it did present it's own little challenges. you wouldn't think it'd be that hard to glue a box together so anyway, here it is.... soon to be paired with this, as always, thanks for reading, tom
kilrathy10 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Looks great....I like it...Gonna look really good when you get that Pete done....
slusher Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 That looks great in black. Pete is looking great also...
Madd Trucker Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Lookin good Tom may be some BMF on the lower sides where you have it in silver
Trailking120 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Looks like a nice combo. Tea those old box trailer can be a bitch some times
Brinx Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I think you got a winning combo there..can't wait to see when you're done!
BigBad Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) I like the floor inside, what did you use for the wooden look? Nice match for the Pete. I agree with Richard, BMF "MIGHT" look good on the lower panels, would make a link with the rims. I like the trim on the back doors too. Edited January 3, 2014 by BigBad
tbill Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 thanks guys Robert, that floor is actually doll house wood flooring. I bought it at hobby lobby thinking it might work out, after getting home with it it turned out the individual wood 'planks' of the doll house flooring were the same width as the 'plank' details on the trailer floor. overall length was a bit short, but I cut another piece and put that up front. I also stained it with some stuff I had laying around. here is a pic of the flooring
Jim B Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Nice looking trailer. I like it in black. Yes, it's tough to build a box when nothing is straight. Remember what I told you AMT stood for?
BigBad Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 The dollhouse flooring sure works! Thanks for sharing.
tbill Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Robert, they also have picket fence for doll houses, they come in a pack of 5, cut the tips of the fence off, and you pretty much have a pallet
Pavel A. Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 It' s very good work. Nice combination of truck and trailer. Pavel.
BigBad Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Nice pallets! This is a great way to make them! One cut and they're done, that's the way,uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it!
