Chillyb1 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) This thing has proved to be impossible to photograph satisfactorily. Tamiya kit and Tamiya TS-40 Metallic Black paint. Some photoetch here and there and tons of carbon fiber decals, both from the kit and aftermarket. I'm not really happy with it; fortunately I have a few more in the stash and some photoetch sets too. PappyD340 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Very very NICE build, don't see anything from my end not to like, but we are always our own worst critic, anyway well done Curtis!!
jaydar Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I think it is a really good build. I have one in the the stash and i am always looking for aftermarket. Drop me a line if any of yours is available. Joe.
DrKerry Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 It looks good on my end.. What Tamiya kit number is that one and what PE set did you use on it?
Davewilly Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 It looks great! as builders I think we are all our own worst critics. Looks great!
Mike 1017 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 A Black Enzo WICKED !!!! Go outside in the sun and try experimenting with your camera settings. It costs nothing but time, Back in the old days when cameras used film it would cost a lot of money to experiment with camera settings. Buying film, paying for developing. Also you had to keep a log of what you did. Good luck Mike

Good luck Mike And that's what I was doing while you were typing this post. I think I captured the model in a better light (literally and figuratively). I was better able to get an accurate sense of the color and reveal some details.
maltsr Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Looks great to me, whatever the lighting - well done
kendog261 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Looks nice to me very clean I like the metallic black although all Ferrari's should be red
Mike 1017 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Photos look good. Just keep experimenting. Sunlight loves black metallic paint
Speedfreak Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Looks good Curtis, looking forward to seeing the next one.
smellyfatdude Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 For what my lhs wants for this kit ($90 Cdn.), I can't imagine having a "few more" in my stash. Heck, I'm too cheap to go grab that one, and I'd have to get it right the first time. I wouldn't hesitate, though if I knew I could make it look as good as yours!
alarmstrong Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I know what you mean about the Enzo in black not coming out well in pictures! I was going to use the body of a failed attempt at the Revell version on a trailer as kind of a "Look what I found" scene with a Chevy pickup pulling the trailer. You cant really see it in real life though either so I used the trailer for something else.
Belugawrx Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Very very cool Try photographing it on different back ground colors.... something biege might work.... sand Nice work
