crazyjim Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Just finished the Speedwagon today. I used HOK majik blue pearl and hand painted the wood per the Irvin Arter, Jr. tutorial. It was really a practice session for the '49 Merc Woody that's on the workbench. Oh yeah - I corrected the headlight angle.
Tom Geiger Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The wood looks good! Looks like you took to it real well.
realgone58 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The wood looks good...........good lookin' wood,.............lol. I'm going to have to read that tutorial and give it a shot too.

realgone58 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Jim, can you post the link to the woodgrain tutorial? I can't seem to find the one you read.
Speedfreak Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Looks good Jim! Where did you get the 'Crazy' plate? Did you hand paint the wheels?
crazyjim Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 I can never find stuff either, Al. I'll email it to you. Gene - I make my own plates with ACME license plate software and import them into my graphics package. I print them on gloss photo paper. And yes, I painted the spokes with a mix of a couple colors.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I like this build a lot! Very nice work...
