Stretch75 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Hi everyone...most people call me Stretch and I Just wanted to introduce myself and post a couple cars I been working on the last month. I started putting models together since I was about 5 years old and up until lately hadn't had much time for them and haven't really been into the hobby and I found my love for the hobby once again...these are some of my first builds in about 15 years just about finished. Thanks and look forward to meeting some of you.
Skypower Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Welcome I'm relatively new also, a great bunch of guys here.
cobraman Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Welcome. Nice models. Looking forward to seeing more.

Stretch75 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Thanks again everyone...right now I have a 77 Firebird in the works and 13 more sitting on a shelf behind that one. Should keep me busy for awhile.
skymnky721 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Welcome to MCM,,you got some great looking builds my friend,,as so many do here on MCM
Stretch75 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Thanks and some of the builds on here just amaze me. It makes me really want to master my craft. I have been gone from the hobby so long it amazes me to see the things people are doing. I ordered some wiring to do my next build with to add some more details in the engine. I used sewing thread for my spark plug wires like I did as a kid on the GTI build and the Firebird I am doing at the moment thinking it was cool looking until I found this forum. I am glad I found it though and see the things that can be done. Can only get better with practice though.
Bill Eh? Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Welcome back to the hobby. It is one of the greatest things that you can do for yourself. Find some local contest/swap meets, and you will really be able to load up on after market goodies.
Stretch75 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Thanks and I would love to but it is such a small area here not many modelers I know of. We have 2 craft stores to buy models from(which have maybe 10 different models to choose from) and one Toy store that has a decent selection in our area. It would be great to grow the hobby here though. Might be something I will have to look into.
