Cato Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 How about a PRE-brass era for your next project? http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/01/28/first-porsche-resurfaces-after-112-years/?intcmp=features
Harry P. Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Wow! Interesting. I didn't know that car existed. I would love to build a model of that.
cobraman Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Now that would be a cool project. Front looks sort of like a sleigh.
Bennyg Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Porsche. Ahead of the game right at the start. Lol Ben
JM485 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 That's pretty amazing! I wonder what happened to the missing part of it?
charlie8575 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 The video with the recreation of a 100-year-old hybrid car was also quite interesting. Neat find, Cato. This, however, is what's making me smile! http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/01/26/big-boy-steam-locomotive-begins-trip-from-california-to-wyoming-will-return-to/?intcmp=obnetwork Steam will again rule- even if just for tourist trips. oldnslow Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hey Harry, Just picked up a copy of "The Sizzlin' 60's", it's great, you and Bill hit one out of the park with this. Robert
Harry P. Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hey Harry, Just picked up a copy of "The Sizzlin' 60's", it's great, you and Bill hit one out of the park with this. Robert Thanks! Actually that's #2 in the series... "The Nifty Fifties" was the first one. Seventies (volume 3) coming in 2014.
Harry P. Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Huh? Please explain. A series of books Bill Coulter and I are doing. The first volume, done last year, was "The Nifty Fifties," and covered models of cars from the '50s, some by Bill himself, but also many by other modelers. The second volume was "The Sizzlin' '60s"... again, same format. The next volume, due later this year, will cover the 1970s... etc.
Harry P. Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Greg, I had to hide your post. I appreciate the publicity, but we are not allowed to sell here, and the information that you posted was pretty much "selling."
Danno Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Interesting. I have a series of books pertaining to 1:1 cars . . . with the same titles.
Rob Hall Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Cool..didn't know those existed. Looks like my usual source has them in stock..
