crazyrichard
thnx and wel yes its going along very nice only build for like a hour a day .... started on the throttle linkage with linkage to the intake scoop i really drilled holes so if you look inside the scoop you see the round brass tubes flush with the bottom , cant get that on a picture but now i have to make butterfly flaps ... in here and man thats tiny .. i think my best option is to look for 3 round things that are the right size already must be out there , maybe in the partsboxes and if not i will look around the house hahaha
crazyrichard
very rough still but altered the linkage to the scoop and butterflyes , also a thin iron rod now , added a gasscable and fuelline thos chevy shapes on the side of the bed i made templates so after paint i can make silver inserts there cables running over the tranny into the cab

Jantrix
I'm a little confuzzled on why there is primer over all that engine detailing. Why not just do it after paint?
MsDano85gt
so cool!! thanks for that technique on the rear "deep" wheels i have some rims i may have to try that with!!
crazyrichard
I'm a little confuzzled on why there is primer over all that engine detailing. Why not just do it after paint? hahaha well thats just a way i developed myself and this workes great for me , i will sand it , spray it all one base color , in this case black and hand paint all the div. colors and lots of chrome .. did this on a lot of other builds as well .. i just like to work this way hihi so cool!! thanks for that technique on the rear "deep" wheels i have some rims i may have to try that with!! no problem sometimes you can even make deep dish rims from one rim just say it and turn the insert around .. one thing you need to do then is create a thinner lip the primer dryed , going to sand and spray it tomorrow Edited February 8, 2014 by crazyrichard
crazyrichard
made a floor this morning out of thin copper plate bend a tunnel out of copper , the top you cant see when the cab is on due to the top chop and gave the whole chassis with everything on a base coat of blak this will dry up matte , just sprayed it on this picture .. then i can go in with chrome , lots of chrome and maybe some small color details ... and when thats done give it a oil paint threatment
crazyrichard
played with salt and paint today and got the basic paint done on the body ... will be cleaned up a bit and more details added I NEED OPINIONS !!!!!! put a large wide tyre in front with the same rim i used in the rear .. the rim would stay flat like this but be painted the same as the rear one.. what do you think keep the wire wells and white walls or make it more beefy looking / like more truck looking .. or do you guys think those tyres are to big for the front ?? some chrome on the rear bumper , will get some oild paint wash for more depth the "box" under the rear window will get a hole in the tp with the fuel filelr neck and a gas cap on top sticking out on the rear part where there is no wood on the floor i will make a large tool box

crazyrichard
thnx guys !!! i will ad more detail but started with a gas cap , safety triangle (how do you guys call that ??) , tyre chassis done , the interiour is not really visible so i opted for a simple bench .. floos is invisible so i kept that sloppy .. washed the chrome with oil paint , the chrome was to ... nice for the rest i think i either do the blower belt matt black (is now semi and still has a bit of gloss) or put tape on it , i have this black cloth tape that looks like a belt maybe do a nother pinstripe on the back like i did on the tudor
