Harry P. Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 So... did the Broncos miss their flight and send a high school team to take their place or what? And who was that guy wearing the Peyton Manning mask? Obviously not Peyton Manning. Yeesh...
Ramfins59 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Yeah, I expected a LOT better showing from the Broncos. Very disappointing, but, congratulations to the Seahawks.
mikemodeler Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Defense wins games and the Seahawks proved that tonight. Peyton could not get it going early on and Seattle was relentless on defense. Was hoping for a close game, as did a bunch of companies that paid millions for commercials!

Deano Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Lessee ... "Number One Offense in the NFL" vs. "Number One Defense in the NFL". Obviously Denver was not prepared for the defensive onslaught that they would face. And give credit where it is due; Seattle's offense tore Denver's defense apart. Now Denver knows what they need to work on.
Pete J. Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) Did you guys not see the same game I did? Yes, the Seahawks defense shut down the Manning and the Broncos, but their offense scored 43 friggin points. That is amazing. Game was just horrible to watch. No fun to watch a blow out no matter who is winning. Edited February 3, 2014 by Pete J.
Pete J. Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Well not exactly true, the defense scored 7, special teams scored 7 and Denver scored 2 against themselves.
High octane Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I thoroughly enjoyed the "blowout" as the game went just the way I wanted it to. A couple of close buddies were hopin' the donkeys would win, but I wasn't.
Dave Ambrose Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 That was painful to watch. I suspect the Stanford Band made themselves up to look like the Broncos and locked the real fooball players in a back closet..

Because if that was the real Broncos, I don't know what to think!
Deano Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Let's hope that was the case. Because if that was the real Broncos, I don't know what to think! That they got their kiesters handed to them on a plate?
Harry P. Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 That they got their kiesters handed to them on a plate? Pretty much.
Harry P. Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 I had a bad feeling that things weren't going to go Denver's way when on the first play from scrimmage the center snapped the ball over Manning's head...
Deano Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I had a bad feeling that things weren't going to go Denver's way when on the first play from scrimmage the center snapped the ball over Manning's head... Yeah, that was a "what the ...?" moment.
Deano Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I think a huge part of the blowout was underestimating Seattle. "Too young, too inexperienced, 2nd-year Quarterback, ad nauseum." Young, hungry kids can surprise you.
Harry P. Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 After the numbers Manning put up this year, I really thought it was sort of karma that Denver would win the Superbowl. Guess not... But I never imagined a blowout like this. I don't think Seattle even imagined a blowout like this! Whooda thunk it?

But I never imagined a blowout like this. I don't think Seattle even imagined a blowout like this! Whooda thunk it? Manning even put up a few impressive numbers tonight. I believe he set a new record for completions in a Super Bowl? It was just, as a whole, Denver's Offense couldn't get a handle on Seattle's Defense. Pass completions, in and of themselves, don;t count for much when the ball doesn't go anywhere.
martinfan5 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 The "Superbowl"?, that was this evening ?, ahh, must of been on while I was watching the new Series of Topgear
Pete J. Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I'm blaming the whole thing on Willy Joe. He botched the coin flip. Denver was toast from then on!
Custom Hearse Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I put the TV on the channel for the Superbowl, but they were showing America's Funniest Home Videos... Hmmm... Maybe that was the Superbowl.
slusher Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) To me it looked like super bowl was it 24 when Elway and Denver lost 55 to 10 to San Francisco. I don't want to take anything away from Seattle but Jacksonville would have beat the Broncos last night.. They looked un prepared to me.. Edited February 3, 2014 by slusher
sjordan2 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I was watching the Puppy Bowl on a TV next to the Super Bowl. It was more enjoyable.
