This evening i will post photos of the diffrrent options I have in ine message. My first idea was also that the front wheels are just a little too big. But maybe that is better than two different styles of rims...

like the "wire-Wheels" bu You mut find some similar but smaller ones in font Perhaps the stoick Wheels from Lindberg/Amt 1934 Ford Pickup???? Thery're "quite Close".... I'd say!

I think I would also try a set from the Lindberg 34 Ford. If you can post some dimensions on the fronts that you have I can check the dimensions on the ones I have and see if they are smaller. My guess is that the set from the Mercedes is 1/24 scale.

@ Modlbldr:

Maybe thes photos can help you? The sizes are in cm.

I thinks the size of the steelies is ok, or just a little bigger then the steelies are...

If everything goes as planned I get a pair smaller wire rims for the front from crazyrichard. In that case I go for the wired ones...

Let me do some digging in the morning and see what the size of the ones I have are. I'll post it up by tomorrow night.

Belugawrx- I'd be interested in those.

These are what I have. The ruler is in mm and it looks as if they are the same size as your white VW rims you posted. Sorry for the bad pic.

They are yours if you want them. I have the rear half (hub side) too for these. PM me.

Well it's been a busy week. Earlier this week US president Obama visited my work in Amsterdam. Of course that was a lot of work to get the security right. I was lucky to see him, see Marine one and see the beast(s). I also liked working together with the US Secret Service :)

Now finally some time off and back to the Volksrod. I made some hairpins and drumbrakes. The drumbrakes will get a backplate later. Also did some work on the headlights which will be used.

Got some questions about how I did the chassis. Well, here you see the before and after pics. I used some small wooden stick only because I did not have any styrene strips at that moment.

Today I received an envelope from the USA. It was the present from our member Modlbldr who sent me some wire wheels for the front. They need some work because the tyres are just a little too narrow and I need to find a way to mount them to the car. But this picture gives a good idea how it will look. Also imagine white walls on the front tyres....

Thanks Modlbldr....

Those look like they'll work just fine. They look like a mix of your option #1 and #2.

They look much better on your build than they would have in the bottom of a box in my garage. Glad I could help.

I like number 3 the best in your case.... I do like the early wire wheel look also but smaller sidewall tires like this one
