PappyD340 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Finished this one up yesterday. Out of box except for plug wires. Paint is Duplicolor Wimbleton white with Rustoleum 2x clear and BMF. Not completely happy with it, but it is what it is! Thanks for looking.
slusher Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Very impressive build Larry, awesome detail also.....
Lovefordgalaxie Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I liked it very much. The color looks correct, and the completed model is very clean and impressive. I would be happy about it!!
o-man Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Larry! What is wrong with this car?! All I see is a great looking model!
Speedfreak Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Larry, the over-all build is very, very nice, some real quality work I see. In fact I have a couple of questions for you. How did you do the thin chrome strips on the dash? They are very clean. And, the 'Fairlane 500' badge on the trunk is stellar, how did you dio that?
A.R.C. Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Thats awesome! One of my favorite cars ever. Theres a red one in my town that I see cruising around regularily in the summertime. Its just baaaaaad.
om617 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Very nice,so mean with the steelies and powerful engine
PappyD340 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Thanks so very much guys for all the wonderful comments. Gene, all the chrome you see on the dash and door panels is BMF, very time consuming but worth the effort and as for the badge on the trunk lid as well as the rear quarter panel name badge and the FORD name badges hood and trunk are all decals supplied in the kit. Its kinda funny the 427 kit has those decals but the GT/GTA kit does not. go figure?
bbowser Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Very nice work. These must have been a hand-full back in the day!
donb Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Looks good to me too. I 'll take it. Love these Fairlanes!
Grumpa Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 What is there not to be happy about? Great looking build Larry.
PappyD340 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Thanks for the comments! Lee Bruce Don Mark
tbill Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 as said, what's to not be happy with? looks fantastic, well done!
Ramfins59 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Larry, that does look great. We can be our own worst critics sometimes can't we?
Nacho Z Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I think it looks great Larry. Nice detail on the chassis and engine compartment.
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Clean machine. Paint and panel lines look great too. I just scored one of these marked down to $8. Now I'm happier after seeing how fine yours looks.
