bbowser Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Very nice, Harry. I would love to see more brass in production- either reissues or new kits, or both. Charlie Larkin X2. I'm not holding my breath however.
Harry P. Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 If the kit manufacturers were confident enough they would sell to justify releasing them back in the '60s and '70s, when most modelers were kids, wouldn't it seem that now, when most modelers are adults, that subjects like these would have an even greater appeal than they did "back in the day" when most modelers were kids?
Peter Lombardo Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Wow Harry, you really do build! Very nice job......very realistic..............it is funny to think of this as a muscle car......you know. muscle cars, late 60's GTO's, Chevelle's, Torino's and Roadrunners, that's what I think of, but I guess you are right calling this a muscle car for the era. pretty cool......it all depends on how you look at something.
Harry P. Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Wow Harry, you really do build! Hmmm... I've posted probably a couple of dozen of my models here by now. Maybe you need to pay closer attention!
58 Impala Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Followed your thread during your build, absolutely stunning model.

I would agree, apparently the model companies do not. Is it only us 'old fogeys' interested in the brass era?

cruz Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Very cool and interesting model Harry, definitely a muscle car in that era!
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Absolutely beautiful. I especially like that you combined several somewhat marginal kits to produce something truly outstanding. Informative and inspirational build thread, too. Very very nice, sir.

Agent G Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Missed this yesterday and had to wait to get home today to see it. Marvelous sir, simply marvelous. I whole heartedly agree with Ace GG, good job. G.
charlie8575 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I would agree, apparently the model companies do not. Is it only us 'old fogeys' interested in the brass era? I'm 38 and hardly an "old fogey." I just think brass/early cars are really cool. And very interesting to look at and study- how the rudiments of what we now drive started out. In many cases, even the mechanical parts are works of art. Charlie Larkin
Lovefordgalaxie Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 That's what I call a quality job. Museum quality. Awesome, just awesome!!
f1ford48 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) SUPERB! Congratulations Harry- everytime I look at it I find a new detail. just noticed the grease cup behind fan and neat hose clamps. the Stutz badge really adds a nice touch-perfect size. Dr. Cranky Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 To say that his is pure eye candy is an understatement. They are works of art, Mr. Harry. Pure ART! Thank you for sharing.
Harry P. Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 ... just noticed the grease cup behind fan... It's a spoke nipple from a Pocher wheel!
