Bige37 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 So I naught this product from detail master called the detailer it comes in a variety of colors and is used for tinting windows and to give an iodized look to chrome or other parts and I was wondering how to use it exactly as the directions are kind of vagg! Has anyone used this would like any feedback
crazyjim Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Don't shake the Detailer bottle!!! I use micro brushes and/or small paint brushes to apply the Detailer to valve covers, intake manifolds, disc brake rotors, interiors, etc. Lots of uses for that stuff.
Aaronw Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Vague, uncertain, indefinite, nonspecific, indistinct, ill-defined. Sorry not familiar with "The detailer" but sounds like it might be a prepackaged paint wash?
robertw Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I've used the Detailer line primarily as a panel line wash. Tamiya make a similar product called Panel Line Accent Color. I prefer the Tamiya product as I find the Detailer is a little to glossy.
cobraman Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Is this stuff any better than just making a wash with your regular paints ?
crazyjim Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 No mixing and messing with The Detailer. Open the bottle at go. Don't discard the empty bottle. Wash 'em out and save them. The different colors can be mixed together for custom colors and then you can store in the old bottles.
