Helix Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Finally got this one done chaps, old MPC kit from '82 purchased from my LHS. Had to do a bit of work to get this one up to speed, the box art suggested the '80s look, but I decided to be a little different..... Kit has an optional 6 cylinder which is well detailed, but I settled for the V8. Mt colour gloss Black polished with Tamiya finishing compounds, interior has a few Humbrol red accents. Pegasus centrelines used, most of the kits chrome was not good... Good fun in the end, simple kit Cheers Ray.
charlie8575 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Very nice execution on that. Use that OHC 6 in a Holden. That'd be a fun car. Charlie Larkin
slusher Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Gorgeous build Ray. Great paint and wheels also..
mikemopar70 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Your Firebird is very cool!! Congratulations, i like it!!
Guest Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Beautiful. Don't care for the wheels, but the balance is awesome.
Bob Ellis Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Very nice build. I am curious why the back seat has seat belts but the front seats don't? I guess the driver and the guy riding shotgun are expendable.
bbowser Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Real nice job! Black is so difficult to pull off, you did great.
