I don't know how, but the rear tires were no longer centered, maybe because of all the work on the interior tub. I had to move the rear forward a touch. This meant cutting out the old mounts and shortening the trailing arms.

I added a license plate box to the rear rollpan and started reworking the taillights.

You're making all the right changes in all the right places. This model is already a great combination of design, attitude and styling.Following this build is real pleasure!

Things do tend to move mysteriously when doing a build like this , nothing surprises me any more !

It's coming along nicely Dave . I like the way you did the tailgate hinges , and the subtle change to the taillights really works !

I can't decide on the colors and this has me stalled for the moment.

Black with red top and red interior

Blue with blue top and tan interior

Black with black top and red/tan interior

Silver with white top and black interior

Red with silver/white top and black/tan/white interior

Orange wouldn't look that good, neither green or white.

Any updates?

Sorry Bob, I just haven't been in the mood for playing with any plastic. One thing I've learned, don't try to build a model when I'm not into it. Things go wrong, I get aggrevated and nothing good will come of it.

I like the idea a corvette that can actually carry something diorama idea this with a bunch of 2x4s and a sheet of plywood hanging out the tailgate

well Dave I have to say this is one of my favorite builds on here . I think the root beer with a cream white top would set this car off . thanks for sharing this build with us

It's the same way with me David with my disability. I can never do good work if I am not into it....

I think most of us get the creative juices flowing and then have life happen, which includes work, family, and social obligations. Then the model it'self can run into a problem, especially when scratch building, and needs to sit till the ideas come to fruition. Believe me i know, I'm getting close to finishing my first custom since getting back into the hobby 6 yrs ago. I will post post pictures, but It has been a long wip with many problems and lot's of staring and trial fits. Don't rush it but I do look forward to seeing how this turns out and am appreciative of the builders that build customs and share knowing how long it can take. Thanks again for sharing.
